Facing Tomorrow Like Yesterday - Part V
The real danger facing America is not its government, Muslim terrorists, unemployment, homosexuality, abortion, etc. These are symptoms caused from the real problem. These festering sinful consequences we’re experiencing are the manifestation of darkness because the Light of the Gospel is scarce. There’s too much emphasis by the so-called church on resolving the symptoms. Instead of following God, by the Leading of the Holy Spirit, the modern church has opted to embrace worldly methods laced with psychology, philosophy, and mysticism.
In previous articles we explained how Adolph Hitler was able to deceive the German people through subtlety. He persuaded both the Roman Catholic and the Protestant churches to champion his social justice programs. The modern global agenda of world governments, corporations, religions, and sadly, the modern church, are coming together in the same familiar manner as did Germany. How can history repeat itself? Simple, a collaborative effort towards dismantling Biblical Christianity is taking place. Hitler rewrote the Bible and its teachings back then to support his social and political plans, while today, they’re mixing Christianity with false teaching and other religions on the premise of good works and common ground. Christianity is also being accused of being the societal dilemma that stunts progress. Therefore, to make Christianity “relevant” it is being redefined. This process is called a “paradigm” change. Pastors are no longer called Pastors or Ministers but rather are referred to as “change agents” or “coaches.” Leadership, as we defined in last month’s article, is not about the purity of the message but the numbers of followers.
An Obama “Homeland Security” report identifies “fundamentalists,” “anti-abortion,” and those “suspicious of centralized federal authority” as potential sources of terrorism.
This anti-American “Homeland Security” report that targets Christians, anti-abortion groups, and other Americans is called: “Hot Spots of Terrorism and Other Crimes in the United States, 1970 to 2008.”
Americans should be concerned because Obama and “Homeland Security” are classifying George Washington, John Adams, John Jay, and faithful Americans as possible terrorists. The anti-American report says “terrorists” may be “Religious: groups that seek to . . . impose strict religious tenets or laws on society (fundamentalists) forcibly insert religion into the political sphere, e.g., those who seek to politicize religion, such as Christian Reconstructionists. . . .”
The Pentagon, under the Obama administration, is developing new policies regarding religious tolerance in the military. How did they handle this? They recruited an Anti-Christian extremist, one Mikey Weinstein, who equates Christian evangelism to “rape.” He further believes the act of proselytizing is treasonous and those caught should be court martialed, “even by the hundreds,” he said. The Pentagon played the report down but Weinstein and his likes are still in the process of dismantling Christianity and the Great Commission of God to Believers in Matthew 28:19-20 and in Mark 16:15-16. Doesn’t Weinstein realize George Washington taught the military to proselytize? Washington said, “While we are zealously performing the duties of good Citizens and soldiers, we certainly ought not to be inattentive to the higher duties of Religion. To the distinguished Character of Patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished Character of Christian.” Washington also commanded the military to attend Christian church services.
Thomas Jefferson appropriated funds for evangelism and discipleship. Our Founding Fathers knew God blesses those who obey His Word and starting the pay of Christian chaplains for the military. Acts 5:29 says, “We ought to obey God rather than men.”
There is also a West Point think tank responsible for training future U.S. Army officers who has released an extensive report warning of a growing domestic threat from “far right” conservative groups it says are prone to violence. The study, authored by Arie Perliger of the U.S. Military Academy’s Combating Terrorism Center, is entitled, Challenges From the Sidelines: Understanding America’s Violent Far-Right, and while much of its focus appears to focus on white supremacist and Aryan/“Christian identity” groups, it also targets groups that value the personal liberties guaranteed in the Constitution and emphasize the need to limit the power of the Federal government.
THE MODERN CHURCH
The modern church is redefining its role in the world. We’re called to go into the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. Rick Warren and his United Nations accepted world PEACE plan claims “Our Global Mission: Peace on Earth.” From Marxist Trotsky to Bush the mantra of “World Peace” can be achieved by, mankind? The Bible teaches us that the world will not know true peace until Jesus Christ Returns to establish His Kingdom on Earth. What exactly is Warren up to then? Since he has redefined the Great Commission, and uses the inspiration of Adolph Hitler to enroll the youth, what is his world PEACE plan? His world PEACE plan is a Christianized social justice program. It partners with anyone who wants to do good works. As a reminder, it was Warren who spoke to Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). The ISNA controls over 330 Mosques in the U.S. under the subsidiary of the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT). This organization has played a great part in bringing questionable individuals to our country with goals of converting our nation to Islam. Many of their Imam’s and members have been involved in acts of terrorism and funding of terrorism. Yet, in an effort to “build bridges,” Warren sacrifices the real Great Commission for his agenda; while leaving lost Muslim’s without the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Below is a quotation right out of an article Warren posted in January on his Pastors.com website about his PEACE Plan:
“The biggest problems the world faced in Jesus’ day are still the biggest problems the world faces today: spiritual emptiness, egocentric leadership, poverty, disease, and illiteracy. I call these the five global giants. These are problems that affect not just millions but billions of people. And how did Jesus take on these giants? He did five things: Jesus planted the church to reconcile men to God and to one another. He equipped servant leaders by training His Disciples to serve rather than be served. He assisted the poor. He cared for the sick. And he educated the next generation.
“I believe these are the five things Jesus wants us to do today as His Followers. He wants us to go into all the world and Plant faith communities, (No, PREACH the Gospel) Equip servant leaders, Assist the poor, Care for the sick, and Educate the next generation. These five things make up what I call the PEACE Plan.
“The PEACE Plan is a grassroots, church-to-church strategy. It’s a lay movement designed to mobilize ordinary church members in small groups that are empowered by God to do normal tasks that can make a difference in the world. The PEACE Plan is about all believers in every church doing all of the things Jesus told us to do. It’s about churches partnering with churches to take on the global giants in their communities. It’s about turning an audience into an army, turning consumers into contributors, and turning spectators into participators.”
I do not have the space to cover each of these in detail in this article, but here are a few to consider. Warren believes the way to assist the poor is, “give them a small loan— not a gift, a loan — so they could start a small business and begin to pull themselves out of poverty.” The World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) have done that for years with no success. He desires to Plant faith communities? Originally his PEACE plan said to “Plant churches.” Warren is willing to partner with anyone, including Muslims, to accomplish what? Does he not know that Howard Bliss, the father of the modern missionary movement, quit preaching the Gospel to Muslims because he claims they were not converting to Jesus Christ? Bliss pioneered the concept of using the social gospel; with education and medical assistance, as the means to improve the Middle East, especially Lebanon. Bliss became more concerned with being accepted than the souls of the lost. The emphasis on humanitarian needs was emphasized instead of the Gospel. Lebanon was lost to Islam and its Christian community is almost totally removed from the country now. Warren will find the same success using this same worldly method. Warren claims there are 2 billion Christian’s in the world to implement his PEACE Plan. He obviously recognizes Roman Catholics as saved. What Warren, and the modern so-called modern church is doing, is no less than what the deceived Roman Catholics and Protestants did under Hitler. Instead of nationalism Warren seeks Globalism. His broad umbrella tries to cover everything under the mantle of bringing peace to the world, without the pure truth of the Gospel.
The world system, and this Age, is coming to a close. The modern apostate church and its friendship with the world will lead one to perdition. These demon inspired ministers are not preaching the Gospel and claim people like me only speak about what’s wrong and not what’s good. They’re liars. I speak the truth in love. Jesus Christ didn’t come down to demonstrate the righteousness of the law for us to copy. He came to fulfill the Righteousness of the Law for us as our Representative Man. He then became our Substitute and paid the penalty of the Law on our behalf, His sinless Death. The modern church needs programs today. The Believer in Jesus Christ needs the Anointing of the Holy Spirit. Sadly, the majority of the modern church knows little, if anything, of the Anointing. God raised up the SonLife Broadcasting Network to be a Light in a dark world. The problem in America, and the world, is the Word of the Lord is scarce.
